50 Cent: Before I Self Distruct

Before I Self Destruct is the title of the third major label album from rap artist 50 Cent. The LP will once again be released under Aftermath Entertainment & Shady Records, with Dr. Dre & Eminem being the Executive Producers.

  • It was confirmed on Shade45 by 50 Cent and Whoo Kid that Bun B, Nicole Scherzinger, Ludacris, Jay-Z and Mobb Deep are featured on the album. Eminem, G Unit (Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo)and more will most likely make an appearance. Lil Wayne was also to appear, but is no longer the case because of his current beef with Young Buck. 50 also confirmed that he will be shooting a video for his album, and will be released sometime in March.
  • On Carson Daily Show, 50 Cent said that he has 90% of his album done and that he's in the studio with Dr. Dre right now. The expected release date is March
  • Jonathan Rotem spoke for MTV.com and talked about working with 50 Cent on the new album. Here is what he said: I just sat down with him and we went through tracks," Rotem said. "He's definitely into soulful stuff. He's at a level where he doesn't have to put an album out for money or anything — he's in it for the love of hip-hop. For the next album, he's trying to bring a very powerful new sound. He's an innovator. He puts out a sound and people will copy it. He wants to set a trend. At this point I can't give any more details, but it's definitely going to be a remarkable project'.link
  • 50 cent confirmed on BET 106 & Park that a song featuring Eminem originally recorded for Eminem Presents:The Re-Up will appear on the album. 50 Cent said After they recorded the track he liked it so much he said to Eminem he has to have it for his album.
  • The 1st single is rumoured to be produced by Timbaland.
  • 50 Cent has confirmed that this album will be just as aggressive as his previous ones
  • To avoid being leaked 50 is keeping the tracks secretive.
  • It was also confirmed by G Unit's DJ Whoo Kid that the album will be a two disc album. The first being "club-banging ridiculous" and the second being "hard-core killer shit."
  • 50 revealed the title to MTV News recently and justified it — cryptically, of course — by simply saying, "Because it could potentially happen."
  • 50 revealed that his grandmother told him to be "himself" for his upcoming album.
  • In a recent interview 50 has said that 2007 is his and G-Unit's year
